The British Institute for Learning and Development (the BILD) launches : The BILD Skills Mark

The British Institute for Learning & Development Skills Mark recognises organisations and business units that have made a significant investment in skills development and qualifications for their learning and development specialists. Internal and external customers that engage with organisations or business units displaying the British Institute for Learning & Development Skills Mark have there assurance of knowing that they are dealing with teams of suitably qualified learning and development professionals; eligible for Associate level membership of the British Institute for Learning &Development or above.

Organisations that hold BILD Skills Mark status have the ability to display the Skills Mark emblem on literature, websites and letterheads, together with organisational membership of the Institute, which includes the cost of three individual memberships at a professional grade. You are at liberty to select which of your staff would benefit from the three individual memberships, which provides the persons concerned with:

Networking opportunities through the BILD Group forum
6 free member events per year
Access to web resources
Membership directory listing
A fortnightly membership newsletter
Email alerts about events and contract opportunities
Access to the Online BILD membership magazine
A free copy of Learning Magazine
Discounts on other BILD and non BILD events
Discounts on various services
Overseas contract opportunities
Export support and advice
A membership certificate and card
Designatory letters signifying the level of professional membership held.

In order to qualify for the BILD Skills Mark, organisations will need to show that all Learning and Development professionals working within the organisation or business unit, hold a qualification accepted by the BILD which demonstrates eligibility for Associate (ABILD) grade membership and above. A list of recognised qualifications will shortly be posted on the BILD website.

The cost of attaining the BILD Skills Mark for one year (which includes BILD membership) is just £500+ VAT which includes the BILD membership fee.

Existing organisational members of the BILD are also encouraged to apply for the Skills Mark.
