Creating Successful Work Based Learning

The Inaugural Conference of the New British Institute for Learning & Development

This conference took place as the UK faces a major challenge in thedevelopment of work based skills and expertise, as detailed in the recentLeitch report. This report outlined the prediction that, for the UK to become aworld leader in skills, radical change in the learning process must take place.The opportunity for learning and development professionals is clear, they mustharness all of their expertise and skills to provide opportunities for learningacross all sectors and at all levels, with a particular focus on the workplace.

The Creating Successful Work Based Learning' conference addressed the acutechallenges work based learning presents and brought together experts from avariety of learning backgrounds to engage with the key issues. This eventhelped forward BILD's mission to raise the status of all involved in learningand development and provide a coherent direction for the work based learningand training sector.

 

Over 120 delegates attended the conference and feedback relatingto the conference content, speakers, organisers and venue was positive andconstructive.
