What sets your training, learning, development, education etc.,’ product/service and company apart from your competitors? What value do you provide and how is it different than the alternatives?

With business comes competition. It’s not enough to simple demonstrate that you can deliver what the customer wants.

When your customers/clients clearly see how your offering is different than that of your competition, it’s easier to generate new prospects and new work.

QMAs a learning and development professional you understand the importance of setting and maintaining high quality standards with your products, services and within organisation.

The BILD QM affords you an opportunity to prove your adherence to best practice within learning and development and so creating a Quality distinction between you and your competitors, for your customer/clients. It provides a simple process that is both rigorous and challenging, that helps individuals and organisation create a differentiation between them and other non BILD QM providers and organisations.

Attainment of The BILD QM signifies that The British Institute for Learning and Development reviewed, recognise and endorse your company’s ability and capability to deliver to a high standard training, learning, development, education etc. products/services. It has the flexibility to be used for various size organisations from a single Independent Trainer to L&D functions/teams within a large corporate organisation.

The BILD QM shows that you are Committed to Quality – by embarking on and completing The BILD QM, your organisation is demonstrating its commitment to quality; assuring customers/clients of the high standard of products and service they can expect when engaging your organisation.
The BILD QM is awarded for three years, with an annual review/reassessment.

Benefits of Attaining The BILD Quality Mark

There are many notable benefits of attaining The BILD QM and these are outlined below:
  • Following your successful attainment of The BILD QM, you are afforded the right to use The British Institute for Learning and Development Quality Mark logo on your literature, website and associated promotional materials.
  • Competitive advantage - when engaging in tender submissions and commercial bids, THE BILD QM helps to differentiate your organisation from your competitors, who do not possess a quality assurance award provide a competitive advantage
  • New and Retaining Customers/Clients – by attaining The BILD QM, your organisation can demonstrate to current and prospective clients/customers, that you are commitment to quality.
  • Independent Assurance of Quality – This signifies that The BILD recognise and endorse your company’s ability and capability to deliver to a high standard training, learning, development, education etc., product and services and to your adherence to continuous improvement.
  • The BILD Register of Quality Mark holders - your organisation is placed upon the BILD register of Quality Mark holders. This register is promoted via the BILD website and at promotional events.
  • The BILD Connect Magazine – we feature new Quality Mark holders as part of a regular update in our publications and joint publications and in our mail and email updates.
  • The BILD Conference and Event Discounts – BILD QM holders are entitled to a discount on fees for both The BILD Annual Conference and Overseas exhibitions/events held in conjunction with UKTI.
  • Recruitment and retention – by attaining The BILD QM, your organisation will demonstrate to current and prospective employees, the high standard of work achieved at the organisation; attracting and retaining talented people.

Pre-requisites

In order to be considered for The BILD Quality Mark, all organisations must comply with the following:-
  • Hold current membership with the British Institute for Learning and Development.
  • Non members will be asked to apply for membership as the first part of the overall BILD Quality Mark process.
  • As an Organisational member of The BILD, organisations are required to comply with the BILD Code of Practice. This requires a signature by a Senior Executive within the applying organisation.

Completing The BILD Quality Mark (QM)

The Organisation
  • To apply for The BILD QM you must be a member of the BILD
  • Application are reviewed/approved by The BILD Membership Committee
Your ‘L&D’ People
  • The L&D Lead must have a minimum of MBILD member status and if an organisational member, each other person in the core membership (Minimum of 3 people) must have minimum of ABILD member status of BILD. Note: This above normal organisational membership
  • Organisational members can opt to have more than 3 people as part of the organisational membership with all addition members minimum member status of Associate
Training Quality Assurance Policy (Statement) and Checklist
  • A Training Quality Assurance Policy (Statement) will be produced and signed to demonstrate your commitment to ‘training’ Quality (‘code of conduct’)
  • The BILD Training Quality Assurance Checklist is completed and you must achieve a ‘Very Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ assessment to gain The BILD QM
The BILD Exemplar QM
  • If all members of the organisation training/L&D delivery and/or design team are a minimum of ABILD or above they are eligible for The BILD Exemplar Quality Mark (GOLD)
The BILD Quality Mark Fees
