Membership Categories, Costs & How to Join

You can join The British Institute for Learning and Development ® (the BILD) as an individual member or an organisational member.

• Each member, whether an individual or organisation, must be categorised according to four levels of membership which are mapped against Learning and Development qualifications and experience.
• The first step to becoming a member is to complete the membership application form:

Individual Membership
*With the exception of International and Retired members, see separate pages for details

• Affiliate £80
• Associate (ABILD) £120
• Member (MBILD) £130
• Fellow (FBILD) £140

* There is a joining fee of £40 in the first year.

* All prices are subject to VAT which is charged at the prevailing rate.

* Annual Payments made by Direct Debit will receive a 5% discount 

* Monthly direct debits attract an administration charge.

Organisational membership

• Up to three members, £390
• Up to five members, £520
• Each additional member above five, £45 +VAT

* There is a joining fee of £45 in the first year.
* All prices are subject to VAT which is charged at the prevailing rate.
