This membership grade is aimed at those individuals who are studying towards L&D qualification. Although it is not a professional membership grade it does provide the individual with all the benefits the the Institute offers.
Associate (ABILD)
This is the entry grade to Professional Grade membership. Requires the achievement of a Level 3 L&D qualification, at least 3 years of experience in a L&D role and commitment to the BILD Code of Conduct.
Member (MBILD)
This is a professional grade that requires the achievement of a Level 4 L&D qualification, at least 5 years of experience in an L&D role and commitment to the BILD Code of Conduct.
Fellow (FBILD)
This grade recognises those individuals with Level 5 qualification and at least 10 years of experience with some on a strategic level, commitment to the BILD Code of Conduct and a letter of support from an existing Fellow of the Institute.
Glasstap's Trainers' Talk is a new benefit that gives members a unique opportunity to tap into Glasstap's huge networking resource to share ideas, information and help with other L&D professionals and create networking opportunities in more than 50 countries.
There are 6 events, which are structured around Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for L&D professionals. They are free for our members and they are held around the UK.
Alchemy for Managers is an online support toolbox that provides a huge range of practical advice, tools, tips, methods and key background knowledge from over 100 management experts to help any manager or supervisor who says “Help, I’m stuck. What do I do next?”
All members have got access in the members' directory where they can find contact details of other members.
We publish a monthly members' newsletter, which informs the members about news of the Institute and the Industry and provides them with articles from credible online resources.
We have liaised with the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) for export opportunities for your business. UKTI is a an organisation that provides support to UK firms to work out their export strategies and make international business.
By joining the Institute you will be able to use the BILD's logo on all your literature, website and all associated materials.
The BILD Quality mark is a standard of quality that is aimed specifically at your L&D department. Working through a series of criteria each company self assesses and when ready a BILD assessor will attend to go through the evidence. More information HERE (link to the QM Webpage). Once passed you are entitled to display the QM on your headed paper, website etc. GOLD standard members are entitled to give out certificates branded with the Gold QM.
Throughout the year we organise a number of online webinars and events in order to cater for those people who find it difficult to attend our connect events. Online webinars are free to members.
We actively encourage companies to contact with contracts, Jobs and events where appropriate we will post on in our members area or send to all of our current members.
We publish a BILD membership magazine and we are keen to feature members and non-members articles, if you have an article that you have written please let us know and we'll see if we can include it.
Our members are entitled to discounted rate for our annual conference, we also work with other organisations to get our members discounts to the other big events inc. World Of Learning.
We have set up a number of offers that we believe our members would be interested in. Due to the fact that we have large membership base we can negotiate discounts for our members and we ensure that discount is passed on.
All members get a membership certificate and card, this is your proof of members and also you entitlement to use the BILD Logo (corporate or individual as applicable) on all of your materials.
Learning Magazine is one of the big online magazines, all of our members are entitled to a free copy.
